Anushka Sharma, born May 1, 1988 in Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh, was the son of Kumar Sharma and Ashima Sharma. Anushka's father is an officer in the colonel (retd.) His mother is a domestic worker. Karnesh Singh, the brother of Anushka and filmmaker, was a member of the Merchant Navy. Anushka is a graduate at the Army School Bangalore. Her modeling career started at Lakme Fashion Week in 2017. Since then, she has been involved in numerous campaigns, which include campaigns for Fiat Palio & Fiat Whisper Nathella Jewelry. Anushka began an acting course and began auditioning for movies along with her modeling career. Anushka was first seen in an acting role with Shah Rukh Khan opposite Anushka. The actress took a day off to get ready for her test on screen and refused to perform an unplanned version. Then she was contracted for three movies under the Yash Raj Films banner. In the film, she was portrayed as a young lady who was married to a middle age man (the role Shah Rukh Khan is playing). The film was hit on the box office and was the second-highest-grossing movie of 2008. Anushka appeared with Shahid Kapoor, Vi Das as well as Meiyang Chang in the 2010 film "Badmash Company". The film received mixed reviews. Anushka appeared as a Punjabi girl from the middle class in a movie called 'Band Baaja Baaraat. The film featured her alongside Ranveer. It was a surprise hit and received good reviews. Anushka had completed the three film contract together with Yash Raj Films.
